Terms & Conditions


Please read these product terms and conditions carefully as they affect your rights and liabilities under the law and set out the terms under which we supply Foodpacks (‘Foodpacks’) and other products to you.
The Foodpacks and other products are supplied by Letting Go Ltd, a company registered in the Republic of Ireland (company registration no.529675) whose registered office is at Mason Hall, Church Avenue, Mullingar, Co Westmeath.

These terms and conditions apply where you have chosen to purchase Foodpacks and/or other products from Letting Go Ltd via the online store www.lighterlife.ie.

Foodpacks can be purchased with or without group weight management and/or personal development counselling sessions (‘Sessions’. There is no minimum purchase for Foodpacks (although delivery costs will be charged below a monetary value) and maximum quantities apply.



Please note that the prices stated by us for the Foodpacks and other products supplied are confirmed at the time of your order. All prices are expressed inclusive of any VAT payable where applicable. The price of the items does not include any delivery charge which will be charged at the rates applicable at the date of your order and which will be notified to you by Letting Go ltd at the time of your order. Prices are liable to change at any time, but price changes will not affect your orders that we have confirmed to you in writing.


If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item or there is a delay in supplying the items to you, we will not be liable to you. Although we will try to service all your orders, an order of large quantities of a particular product line can only be fulfilled at our discretion.


Your order is an offer to buy from us. There will be no contract of any kind between you and us unless and until payment has been received. Nothing that we say or do will amount to any acceptance of that offer until we have received payment. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the Foodpacks and/or products to you without giving any reason. At the moment that the Foodpacks and/or products are paid for (and not before), a contract will be made between you and us. We reserve the right to refuse orders from businesses or from individuals whom we consider are ordering our Foodpacks other than for their own personal consumption.


You can have your Foodpacks and products delivered or can collect them from Letting Go Ltd, Mason Hall, Church Avenue, Mullingar, Co Westmeath. For delivered Foodpacks and products, you will need to designate the address to which you want your order dispatched. We will not be responsible for orders that are not received through no fault of our own, and cannot be held responsible for any delay in delivery. The costs of postage/carriage will be added to your order, if applicable.

We offer a next business day delivery service for all orders placed before 2pm.

Failure of goods to arrive

Any order that fails to arrive must be reported to Letting Go Ltd within 7 days of your order date. In the unlikely event that the courier has lost your order, then any claim made on the couriers insurance after 7 days is inadmissible and no refund or replacement goods can be offered to you by Letting Go Ltd.

Returns of perishable items

We hope you will be happy with your purchase, and we take care to ensure the products are provided to you in good condition. However, should you feel it necessary to return an item, we aim to make the returns process as simple as possible.

Return of damaged/faulty goods

In the case of perishable items, if the products received are damaged and you notify us within fourteen days of delivery, we will ask for them to be returned, and we will replace your damaged items. These terms will apply to any replaced products. Any delivery charges incurred will be refunded to you.

Return for refund

We will consider any request to return product on a case by case basis, If the product is not damaged or faulty then there is no automatic right to return as LighterLife meal replacement products are food. In the event that a return for refund is agreed then a charge of 25% of the product value will be deducted from any refund. Any delivery charges will be met by you to return the product. On receipt of product, a refund will be issued – this may take 2-3 days to hit your bank account.

Return for exchange

If a request for return is based on an exchange of goods to the same value then an admin charge of €10 will apply plus the delivery charges incurred in dispatching the exchanged goods. Any costs involved in returning product for exchange will be met by you.

Use of Foodpacks

Foodpacks are only available to persons aged at least 16 years of age, with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 20 or more, who are complying with the Letting Go Ltd’s  Medical protocol. You should follow any instructions for consuming the Foodpacks which are issued in writing by us with your order or which are displayed on the LighterLife.ie web-site at www.lighterlife.ie. For all Letting Go Ltd/LighterLife weight-loss and weight-management plans follow the Foodpack usage advice in the LighterLife written materials provided when you started your plan. The Foodpacks are supplied to you and are expected to be used in conjunction with LighterLife.ie terms and conditions. The Foodpacks are supplied on a strictly not for re-sale basis, and should not be advertised for re-sale.

Cancellation and Changes to your Order

You can cancel any of your current orders prior to fulfilment by us.


Payment for Foodpacks and other products must be made in advance by credit or debit card. Your authority for payment must be given at the time of placing your order, and you will be charged at the time when your order is confirmed. You can normally pay by Mastercard or Visa credit card, Maestro or Visa debit card. To the full extent permitted by law, our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant products.

Our promises to you

We value you as a client and we will use reasonable care and skill in delivering the Foodpacks and other products to you.

Your promises to us

Where Letting Go Ltd’s protocol is to check your physiological and psychological status, you confirm that you have read and completed (or will complete) carefully the Wellness Profile Form and/or the Wellness Update Form, that the information you have supplied is accurate and that you are complying with any medical monitoring required by your GP and are able to participate in the Plan(s) you have applied for. You acknowledge and confirm that:

  1. Any questions concerning your health and your ability to participate in the Plan(s) have been discussed with your doctor, or will be discussed with your doctor, before you participate;
  2. You are responsible for your own health and will inform your doctor and/or the Letting Go Ltd Customer Care Team should you experience any changes in your health while you participate in the Plan(s);
  3. You will inform Letting Go Ltd of all prescription medications, non-prescription medications, diet aids, and supplements which you are taking, and any changes in dosage;
  4. You understand that none of Letting Go Ltd employees or Counsellors are health care practitioners and cannot be expected to diagnose, recognise or treat individual health problems and no information or documentation provided by us should be considered to be medical advice or opinion;
  5. You will inform you Letting Go Ltd’s Customer Care team of any doctor or health care professional directed diet or exercise modifications or restrictions;
  6. Failure to follow the Plan(s) protocol and all the food and meal replacements recommended by Letting Go Ltd may involve the risk of developing serious health complications; and
  7. You understand that none of the LighterLife Plan(s), food or meal replacements are intended for use by anyone under 16 years of age, anyone with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 20 or under, pregnant women or those with medical conditions, and such people are encouraged to seek medical advice before embarking on any weight management Programme.


These Terms and Conditions are personal to you and cannot be assigned by you; do not confer any rights to any third party; and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland and any disputes will be decided only by the Irish Courts. If any of these Terms and Conditions is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Terms and Conditions which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen.
